About this course
This nationally recognised training, including HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid equips participants with the skills to respond confidently in a medical emergency. It is a requirement across many industries to ensure workplaces are prepared for incidents. The course develops practical knowledge in providing immediate care and support until professional medical assistance arrives.
Course content
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Managing unconscious casualties
- Safe use of defibrillators (AEDs)
- Controlling bleeding and shock
- Treating fractures, sprains and dislocations
- Managing burns, bites and stings
- Basic wound care and bandaging
- Emergency response procedures until help arrives
Who can do this course?
Suitable for all workplaces, including construction, warehousing and corporate environments. Participants must be at least 14 years of age.
