About this course
This 2-day program provides the essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate a forklift truck across warehouse, factory and construction environments. The course prepares participants to undertake the SafeWork NSW High Risk Work Licence assessment.
Course content
- Theory training on forklift types, functions and operating capabilities
- Legal responsibilities, hazard identification and risk control
- Load handling techniques and forklift stability principles
- Pre-operational inspections and workplace safety requirements
- Practical hands-on forklift operation, including load stacking and manoeuvring
- Safe operating, shutdown and emergency procedures
- Knowledge and practical competency assessment
Who can do this course?
SafeWork NSW requires that applicants are at least 18 years of age.

- Photo identification
- Completed forklift pre-training materials
- Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
