About this course
The UETDREL006 Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker course provides participants with the essential knowledge and skills to work safely near live electrical apparatus without being a qualified electrician. It is a critical unit for heavy vehicle drivers, construction and maintenance workers who operate near overhead or underground powerlines. The training focuses on identifying electrical hazards, understanding "Safe Approach Distances" (SADs), and implementing risk controls to prevent electrical accidents.

Who can do this course?
This course is designed for construction workers, plant operators, council workers and labourers who work in the proximity of powerlines or electrical assets. Minimum age 16 years.
