About this package
The Elevated Work Platform Package is designed for construction, maintenance and warehousing personnel who operate elevating work platforms or perform tasks where there is a risk of falling. This package combines nationally recognised training with a Verification of Competency (VOC), ensuring participants are licensed, compliant and confident in the safe use of EWPs and in working safely at heights.
Course content
The package includes Work Safely at Heights, covering hazard identification, risk assessment, fall prevention equipment, ladder and platform safety and emergency procedures. It also includes the EWPA Yellow Card, covering the safe use of scissor lifts, vertical lifts and boom lifts under 11 metres (machines covered depend on equipment available on site). Participants then complete the Boom Type EWP HRW Licence (WP) for boom lifts over 11 metres. Finally, a Verification of Competency (VOC) confirms ongoing competence in elevated work platform operations.
Who can do this package?
This package is ideal for construction workers, maintenance crews, warehouse staff and contractors who regularly work at heights or operate elevated work platforms. Participants must be at least 18 years of age, as required by SafeWork NSW.
