About this course
This course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills to work safely in environments where there is a risk of falling. This nationally recognised unit is essential for workers in construction, mining, maintenance and other industries where height safety is critical. The training focuses on hazard identification, risk assessment, the correct use of fall protection equipment and implementing safe work practices to reduce risks when working at height.
Course content
- WHS legislation, roles and responsibilities for working at heights
- Identifying hazards and assessing risks in height-related tasks
- Selecting, inspecting and using fall prevention and fall arrest equipment
- Correct use of harnesses, lanyards, anchor points and lifelines
- Safe use of ladders, scaffolds and work platforms
- Emergency procedures and rescue requirements
- Applying safe work methods in line with industry and workplace standards
Who can do this course?
This course is suitable for construction workers, maintenance staff, roofers and anyone required to perform tasks where fall risks are present. Minimum age 16 years.
