About this course
This 2-day program provides the essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate a boom-type EWP in compliance with all relevant legislative requirements. The course prepares participants to undertake the SafeWork NSW High Risk Work Licence assessment.
Course content
- Theory training on EWP types, functions and operating capabilities
- Workplace health and safety legislation, hazard identification and risk control
- Pre-operational inspections and safety requirements
- Safe use of harnesses and fall protection equipment
- Practical hands-on operation of a boom-type EWP
- Safe operating, shutdown and emergency procedures
- Knowledge and practical competency assessment
Who can do this course?
SafeWork NSW requires that applicants are at least 18 years of age.

- Photo identification
- Completed boom lift pre-training materials
- Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
